Fixing MSI Installers Doing Nothing in Windows Vista

If you've ever had the agonizing issue of MSI installers just not doing anything being opened in Windows Vista, I've found a niche but effective fix. All you need to do is right-click the MSI file, click Properties in the right-click menu, and click the "Unblock" button near the bottom of the Properties window. The installer should now run properly!
This trick should also apply for some EXE installers that are wrappers for or have MSI installers bundled within them.

Why this "protection" was implemented for downloaded files so silently is beyond me
