Yes, an archival/media file server sounds like a great idea for that :). I could probably contribute some of my more obscure media and software to it; would be cool to make it more accessible.

I've also been planning to host some of my replays on my site too (once I get a host again and it's able to come back up :(). It'd be cool to have replays from other shmups like Seihou and Samidare. We should have a place to share all of our Touhou 9 match replays too, lol.

For the Sound Blaster Live! make sure to use the drivers from the CDs. The ones from Creative's site seem to have some issues with crackly audio (especially with MIDI playback).
